My goal is to craft the best possible legal remedies to address your specific needs. It is this individualized approach to the practice of law that allows me to maintain long-term and productive relationships with my clients. Trial is not the answer for every legal problem. I consider what is best for all parties when advising clients.
The firm was established in 2001 by its founder and principal, Stephen D. Ott. Since its inception, I have developed a practice designed to be client-friendly, competent, and efficient. I strive to be professional, and enjoy developing personal relationships with my clients.
In 2001, the firm's areas of practice included personal injury, general corporate and transactional, business and commercial litigation, representation of municipalities, civil litigation, and tort law. The firm practice areas expanded in 2005 to include real estate acquisitions, closings, foreclosure and real estate litigation. Then again in 2009, the firm’s practice areas expanded again to include criminal defense, DUI, deprivation defense against DFCS (a/k/a DFACS), private termination actions, grandparent representation, guardianship, juvenile criminal defense, and HUD, REO, and VA closings.
I am committed to serving the communities in which I practice. Stephen is a member of Metro Fayette Kiwanis. The firm is an active member of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce and the Griffin-Spalding Chamber of Commerce.
Stephen graduated from Georgia State Law School in 1992, and is originally from Hogansville, Troup County, Georgia.
My services are offered at competitive rates. I offer alternative-fee arrangements as well as traditional hourly rates for most legal services. I am always willing to consider whether a client has multiple-matters when negotiating fees.
